1:1 Special Education Aide - Full-Time, 10-Month Position | 2026-2027 School Year

 

Milford Central School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Special Education Aide to provide individualized support to a student during the school day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a student in accordance with the student’s educational and support needs.
  • Assist with academic, behavioral, social, and/or physical needs as directed by the classroom teacher and special education staff.
  • Reinforce classroom expectations, routines, and positive behaviors.
  • Assist with transitions and other daily school activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when working with students, families, and staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and other school personnel as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with children or students with disabilities is preferred.
  • Experience in a school setting and/or with students requiring individualized support is desirable.
  • Strong communication, patience, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

This position is 10 month, full-time, Salary and benefits will be commensurate with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Library Media Specialist – Full-Time, 10-Month Position | 2026-2027 School Year

Milford Central School District, a rural PK-12 school district in Upstate New York, is seeking a motivated, student-centered Library Media Specialist to primarily serve students in grades PK-6. The successful candidate will create an engaging library/media program that promotes literacy, research, digital citizenship, technology integration, and a love of learning.

Our district provides 1:1 devices for students and values innovative, collaborative educators who are committed to meeting the needs of all learners. Knowledge of and experience with NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards is preferred.

NYS Library Media Specialist Certification required.

Position: Full-Time, 10-Month
School Year: 2026-2027
Salary: Per Milford Teachers Association (MTA) contract
